New 'Orange' Layout Problems

I’m having real problems with the new layout when using Firefox on a PC The ‘Man with the Megaphone’ on the welcome screen obscures all the fast links. I also find the font size to be tiny.

I forgot to add that the ‘new posts’ link has also gone. Sorry but for me this was a step backwards in site design.

I thought I was on a mobile specific website on my monitor. Squeezed into the middle and difficult to read. Yeuch!!

I have the Home, Forums Hosting,Classifieds and chat links under the orange box, but this boxout – This topic contains 0 replies, has 1 voice, and was last updated by Ed P 24 minutes ago. This post has been viewed 4 times. The post has been read by 2 members – obscures everything after Act….

and yes, the print is tiny.

Appreciate all that you do Lee, but visually and layout wise, this is a retrograde step.:(

This was not a new layout! It was an emergency measure to try fix the fault that occurred last night killing the site.

I believe it is more or less as it was apart from the buttons above the forum and a few minor other things. I have had to rob ohbother of some code to bring it back to life so thanking god it was there. Whats a shame though is that I did not know the forum was down and if I had not checked 12 am this morning I would of not been any the wiser.

Thank you Lee for all the effort you are putting in to keep Forumite going – it’s quite a responsibility and by now the new system is by far better than MM had been for some considerable time. OK there will be glitches, outages and down times – but let’s be very grateful for what we have.

Cheers :good: Could of done with out it this bank holiday but I’ve had mixed luck over the weekend so it balancing out. Also before that I won the Grand national and Scottish Grand national so I am due plenty of bad luck :yahoo:

I’ll fix it again, a lot of the modifications was reversed when it went bang last week so I will redo it.
