I was in court for my final attempt yesterday to point out all the cock-ups of the solicitors. Final results, You have 6 weeks to leave your home for the last 12 years. No if’s, No buts, No Help, Nothing.

Very wrong that they are forcing you out after all those years Lee. Anyone who thinks an Englishman’s home is his castle, should take a look at all the cases like yours. Hope you find somewhere to stay.

Thanks all. Wheels, if I thought I could afford it I would be doing it 🙂 No more options Mark.

Anyhow, there is one good thing to come out of it, it’s done with now. I am going to try and get out of Bradford, its a mega s**t hole.

Something between York & Filey would be good.

Malton is nice Lee. The East Yorks coast is good if you go a bit further. Hornsea is a great little town. Beverley is really good, but property looks expensive. The surrounding villages are all nice, but it depends on broadband and WiFi speeds, which I guess would be crucial for you.

As for Bradford, it’s listed as one of England’s worst towns, along with Hull, Halifax, Wakefield, Keighley, Doncaster and Huddersfield. Good luck on your move, wherever you choose.

Less so than before, Bob. I saw on my local news that a Kent man is trialling satellite broadband with Starlink, Elon Musk’s company. He’s on their Beta trial and is paying £84 a month for 50 – 150Mbps., compared to his previous 1 – 2Mbps. Expensive upfront cost ~£500 for the equipment, but that will only come down. There is also Konnect satellite broadband at £30 for 22Mbps up to £70 for 75Mbps. It’s a developing technology now.

So far Elon Musk has got 800 satellites up there with a plan for 42000 worldwide!! He doesn’t muck about that man when he puts his mind to something!!

Well, broadband speeds are not that important now. “10 MB” would do. I was on 80 a month ago but there just was not much use for it so I downgraded 40 and saved myself a few quid. I don’t game online, Ido not watch much youtube and I have ditched all my online stuff such as Netflix, Now and so on.

To be honest @sgb101 I am not 100% sure how long. Oh, and you still owe me a steak dinner 😉 I think I have narrowed it down to Seamer or the outskirts of York. I am however sick of seeing the words “No Pets”.
