I want to add a little bit of fun to the forum, a competition. Prize will be a big fat zero! and it is just a little fun. MM had the caption comp, other forums have something like best picture of the week. So my fellow forumites, any ideas? :good:

You could award the most strange quote of the week. Pick the silliest, weirdest, funniest, most stupid, nice or random comment/reply/question of the week/month. Basically something that made you go WFT?

Other than the that I’m blank.

I’d say best typo, but I’d win every week.

How about a competition where there is no input from the members whatsoever and the “winner” is picked at random from the member list. That’s a WTF? competition in its own right. Winner gets a badge on his or her (do we have any hers?) profile for the week — Grand Wizard of Geeks. Everyone has an equal chance of winning.

Being a negative nelly isn’t going to help Jason. ?

I wouldn’t mind a gaming group of some sort being set up. Maybe one night mid week or something.

That wasn’t meant to be negative. It was a serious suggestion. The hardest part with any of these things is to get people to contribute, especially when there’s no tangible prize. With my suggestion, it adds a bit of fun to the forum — perhaps a springboard to other competitions and ideas — without requiring contributions.

There used to be a guess the song from the lyrics thread on MM where the person who got the answer set the next question.

Probably not a good idea as it took me 5 years to get the answer to Bob’s last question. 🙁
