Well not quite Orac, but the Chinese supercomputer just uses lasers, mirrors, prisms and photodetectors rather than Google’s boring old solid state stuff to build a Quantum Computer.

I must be missing something. The test for Quantum Computers seems to be solving a specific problem much faster than could be done on a classical computer. If that is the case, I can think of a lot of analog computers that can solve problems (say pipeline flow, or ballistic flight) very much faster than a digital computer. Thinking about it, the Chinese Quantum computer is a sort of analog one!
