Smart plug seems like a good idea. Thing is, the only thing I need one for is the central heating.

Can anyone recommend one and with an easy app for android. Also is there one not just for wifi but one that can be activated over the net.

I don’t know about via the net but I’ve been using TP-Link Kasa products and the app is straight forward. Linked into Alexa with minimum fuss too.

The blurb does say “Remote Access – Easy setup and control from anywhere with the free Kasa app (iOS, Android).” so maybe you can use the net? Linky
