The default setting for Microsoft cloud looks like it is insecure:

Not a fan of Ms skydive tbh, but surly this is user error. By fix ms mean we will make it more ‘thick proof’.

I don’t see how it’s MS’s issue to clear up after user errors. If you post 100of Ks of  files through the post, the Royal mail surly wouldn’t have to make a statement regarding how it will “fix” the issue.

Seems like just another hit piece on clouds.

The beeb, being a public service, really should of linked off this story, (written it better first), to a safe practices page, maybe some limited,  short and simple tutorials about the he doos and don’t of each platform. For the average man to ponder over.

That way 1. Some future mistakes could be avoided, and 2, the average Joe that reads this, just gets out of this, ‘cloud is bad, stay away’. When it’s far from bad, when used responsibly Its a great great service to have on hand.

        It’s a hit piece.

Agreed. Someone didn’t bother to read. End of story. In a world where no-one blames themselves, clearly it must have been Microsoft’s fault.

            What a great story.

I would have gone with a snappier headline though. ‘Users Don’t Know How to Use Shock Horror’.

Nothing is foolproof. Nature just breeds a better fool.

Workers in our Louth Morrisons are responsible for mishandling stuff I buy:

They break my McVities Digestive and Hovis biscuits. I am addicted to them. 🙁  🙂

                      Damage Soup and other cans.

                      Burst cereal packets.

Crack eggs in the egg boxes.

That’s a small selection of their work! 🙁 I once took a box of cracked eggs, a burst pack of Shreddies, and a creased can of soup to the manager, who is about 18 stone and maybe 5’7″”. “Would you buy these?”  –  “No.”   – “Then why put them on the shelf?”   –  “At the end of the day, we give them to a homeless Shelter.”  –  “Oh, so it doesn’t matter if they get food poisoning!” His expression became ever more vacant.

This does not happen at the Cleethorpes Morrisons, which is unfortunately 22 miles up the A16. We go there every 3 weeks and stock up.

When the Thought Police arrive at your door, think -
                      I'm out.
