Last week I had an email from ‘Microsoft billing’ thanking me for successfully registering for Office 365 Home on 02 March 2017. Which I hadn’t! The registration is for a month’s free trial which I don’t need as I already have office 2010 on my PCs and can also access 365 from my work account. Today I received another email telling me how to set the whole thing up and it included links to ‘my account’ to check my order. There are no orders shown. (I do have a Microsoft account from the days of Windows Messenger).
All the links seem perfectly genuine; has anyone else received similar? I suspect MS are trying it on!
If you can, examine the source code of the email. I recently received an Amazon.com email that looked 100% genuine at first glance but actually contained links to some unsavory Brazilian medical company. It was click bait.
There is a simple right-click to do this in TBird, but I’m sorry I do not know how to do this invaluable test in other email programs.
In Junk – right click it, look for ‘View Message Source’. Scroll down until you find the Source. In Menu bar at top, check ‘Block’ if you want to reject it.

I'm out.
