The thought of turning an old Cold War Regional Seat of Government Bunker into a cannabis factory really appealed to my sense of 1960s/70s Flower Power  humour! link

If I were on the Wiltshire jury service role I would acquit these guys just for their shear cheek! Never mind that I strongly believe that we should join the modern world and legalise the stuff just to eliminate criminal sources of income. There is now sufficient world-wide evidence built up over a number of years that decriminalising and taxing MJ production has many benefits (including significant medical ones) and few if any downsides.

All about the actual site and what it was designed for:    https://tinyurl.com/zugx55d

I visited RAF Chilmark once I think, for certain stores whilst in the AAC, but the RGHQ was not built until after my time.

I share your view that cannabis should be legalised, Ed. For medical use it could be made into a tablet or liquid medicine. For ‘recreational use’ it could be produced in private factories (with employees suitably protected against dangerous fumes) and the result could be taxed, bringing in revenue to replace that lost to Tobacco products after most smokers gave up.

Another result would be a possible drop in crime, for two reasons: spliffs readily available to those who want them, without risking a police record. And much of the population concerned, will be too relaxed to leave home and commit crime. :good:   :yahoo:

I refer you to episode “420” the 12th in the 7th season of Family Guy.

I can’t link to the whole thing, but here’s a link to the Bag Of Weed Song (to the tune of Me Ol’ Bamboo) from Brian’s bid to legalize cannabis http://tinyurl.com/gttggkn

          Pure genius.

I had forgotten that one Dave, what a brilliant piece of social commentary! :yahoo:

FG makes a lot of those, amongst all the mayhem. My older grandbrats were amazed to know that I watch it, SWMBO and their parents think it’s the work of the Devil. B-)
