      Hi,

I recently re-installed Win 10. I was going through my desktop, changing programme/game/utilities icons for some more visually pleasing ones (and also removed the shortcut arrows via a windows tweaker utility). The only issue I have is with the empty and full recycle bin icons. I have changed them both, but the icon remains on the “full” recycle bin icon, and when I empty the bin, it doesnt change to the “empty” bin icon. I have also changed icons for “this pc”, “user” “network” etc with no problem, doing it via personalise, and did the same for the recycle bins. I have used some downloaded .ico files to change the relevant icons, so they are proper icon files. Its only a minor niggle, but I wondered if anyone knew why this was happening. If I revert back to the “ugly” Win 10 default recycle bin icons, they work fine. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Quick edit – I found that if I “refresh” view on desktop, the icons will change to correctly reflect either empty or full, so I am not sure why they wont change by themselves?

Did a further search on google, and found a fix, where I had to do a quick edit of the recycle bin command or whatever, but it works fine now. Solved.
