Hi Dave last year, on here, you gave me a link to a 240GB SSD.

All is fine, it has no name, I am putting it on ebay, not sure if you called it a generic.

It does have a number on a sticker, I can’t find anything.

      HAR-XXX-U-256-2.5-SSD

      Cheers
      John

John – that might be a KingSpec ?

Never trust an atom - they make up everything !

If it’s an Amazon bargain (probably was) I’ll bet it’s a KingDian. That would tally with Boris’s find.

The other not-a-big-name that I’ve bought are Drevo X1 but IIRC they are obvious.

            Thanks for the suggestions.

In the light of day (just) I have slowly removed the sticker, to find another sticker and it’s a

            Micron M550 2.5 256GB SATA 6Gb/s SSD MTFDDAK256MAY

Could there be a secret as the Micron sticker was covered up.

            Cheers
            John

Could well be John. These smaller companies (and some large ones like HP and Lenovo) don’t manufacture their own hardware.

When I discovered what some Lenovo SSDs actually were I stopped worrying about buying lesser known brands.

                Thanks Dave

Perhaps I should have left the other sticker on it and sold it as the HAR-XXX-U-256-2.5-SSD

                not as a Micron M550 2.5 256GB SATA 6Gb/s SSD MTFDDAK256MAY
