Just found them all on what looks like the official YouTube channel.

I love this program, along with other classics like UFO.

Many thanks Nolan! I never missed any of those, way before its time then, still looks OK now. Using CGI, this would make a great remake today. Come on, BBC, it would make Doctor Who look sick!

          No problem Bob.

I was amazed that they were there for £0. I was expecting a Netflix or Amazon Prime result at best.

Just had a flick through a few episodes – I thought I remembered the whole cast, but ……. I had completely forgotten Soolin !

Never trust an atom - they make up everything !

I agree, but for a cash-strapped Beeb the problem is money and foreign income as CGI is still very expensive. As a result, any remake would have to pander to a US Public Service Broadcast  audience and need a few Americans in leading roles along with maybe a Chinese and an Indian person. The roles of villains would as usual be reserved for Brits! I have a feeling that it would change the character of BS7 more than somewhat. ?

If flexible sets are your thing then it has to be Fawlty Towers. Some of the set moves like it’s made out of paper! ?

                      Brilliant reply BL. ?

That’s only because O’Reilly used a wooden lintel though. ?

? indeed! Still imagining the bit where Manuel comes down and the door’s gone. On Blake’s 7 was never a fan (Sci Fi not my thing) but my ex-pat mate is and is gratefully downloading the lot while they are available so cheers for posting.

Nolan, can I record these in any way to DVD? I have a mate who has no internet but has a DVD player and would love them. Got them saved to Firefox Pocket, thanks to your link.

                            Cheers! Bob.

Bob you can actually save a bit of time with youtube-dl. There’s all sorts you can do with it, but for your purposes I would suggest:

                                  1. Download youtube-dl and put it in a dedicated folder e.g. “C:\blake7”.
                                  2. For each series on the main page right click and copy the playlist url (“copy link address” in chrome)
                                  3. In your new folder (e.g. “C:\blake7”) open a powershell or command window (shift, right-cluck, “open powershell window”)
                                  4. type: youtube-dl “http:xxxxxxxxxxxxx” replacing the text inside the quotes with the playlist url you copied in 2 above
                                  5. Press enter and the entire playlist (series) will be downloaded in the best available mp4 format
                                  6. Repeat for the other three playlists/series
                                  7. If your mate has a usb on his telly you could stick them all on a thumb drive
                                  8. If it needs to be DVD have a look at Freemake but take care to swerve all the optional software” when you install it

Good luck. BTW youtube-dl is a great tool for other sites including ITV and BBC Iplayer.

You are right – however this bloke has shared them (all of them I think) including the last one and also in higher resolution. So further to post above

                                      youtube-dl “https://www.youtube.com/user/franck1993ful/videos”

should grab the lot in 720p so much better for mastering to DVD

I’m only on series 2 so I’ve got a way to go before I need to track it down…

                                            Thanks BL, on two counts!

1 – for the download & directions: copied & typed directions.

2 – for the big bundle of episodes.

This will be a work for a rainy day as I am very busy in the garden atm, my live-in dominatrix is getting the whip ready as I speak. The mate who wants the episodes has gone to his krappy Maltese Time-share for a month, so no rush.
