MM & Forumite similarities

To be honest I think this as been livelier than mm was in the past few months of its days. MM was bound to be lively in its last few weeks. I compare it to a crime scene or road accident, rubber neckers stopping to get a glimpse.

Once I get the whole site complete I will start thinking about getting new users. How ever I’ll be keeping an eye out for the fanatics. I aint going to put up with cranks, not here! I dont want it turning into some of the flaming grounds found else were on the net. :negative:

fresh look, and no longer tied to the magazine might keep this forum going, I seem to remember a lot of stuff in the MM forum became stagnant because we’d seen and read it and it.

p4 at 9.5 was one of the best this forum seems to have a wider spread already with wireless lights and mountain bikes which may well have been there on the MM forum but you don’t tend to go to a computer forum for advice on a mountain bike.

Yes, discussion did get a bit too lively over e.g. Trump and the EU, but avoiding politics and religion is a wise course for us all. Stepping away from something that annoys is better than firing back, though I admit that I have been too quick to fire back in the past. I now want to avoid that for the future, it is not good for me and no one else wants that sort of flack either.

Lively discussion is all about good exchange of information and perhaps some informed views, though sticking to what helped one form one’s viewpoint rather than pushing that conclusion is a ‘best approach’. Everyone else will not have had the same life experiences as the rest of the group, so ‘group think’ should never be expected of anyone.
