      But it hasn’t appeared, so ordered this at full price. Should arrive tomorrow.

        I’ve got one of those. It’s a monster. Can’t recall why I’m not currently using it. It’s a pretty good replacement for the Logitech Trackman I used to have. I also bought one of these – it’s a bit smaller than the one you’ve just purchased.

        I’m debating dropping the money on this one as I think it’s a bit of a goldilocks situation – the smaller one is a bit to small whilst the bigger one is perhaps a bit big!

        I think I lost the productivity and accuracy a bit from my vertical mouse I use at home and work (and my wrists no longer ache). (I use this at home and work).

          The Anker Vertical might be good for me, as I have a ganglion on the RH side of my right wrist, about 8mm below the palm.

            Bob, I had a massive ganglion on my right elbow for about 6 months after the fracture healed, it was drained every 3-4 weeks.

            One morning when it was due to be drained it wasn’t there anymore.

              @drezha My last trackball was also the Logitech Trackman. In fac, I had two, and both had the same problem, in that the microswitches died.

              This did, indeed, arrive today, and so (since I had it delivered to work) I swapped out the crappy work mouse with it for the afternoon, and worked well. Now at home (Linux) and it actually feels better than on Windows. A quick check with xev and all the buttons are recognised, so maybe on Saturday I’ll get to configuring. Having said that, LMB/RMB forward and back buttons are working just fine, as is scroll.

              I don’t actually find it too big. Once I break the mouse habit (so a day or two) I’ll give it a try on precision stuff (Blender).

              The Corsair mouse could find itself relegated to RetroPie.

                How did you get on? I ended up bringing this one out of storage yesterday to complete an online jigsaw puzzle, as I found that the vertical mouse was giving me grief (not sure why, perhaps I was gripping it to hard?)

                Either way, this made it easier on the wrist.

                  I’m still using it, and almost without thinking about it now. However, for precision movement, particularly in Blender, I tend to swap between this and the mouse, though I’m sure it’s just muscle training.

                    I picked up a cheap Wacom tablet a while ago, and found that I was much more precise with the mouse. As you say, it’s probably muscle memory, after all, I’ve been using the mouse for fairly precise work for over 20 years.

                      I got a Ugee tablet last year, which is very handy for texture painting and GIMP. Having said that, I’ve been using pencil and paper for the past 50 years, so probably helps.
