I was again wondering what happened with Bob after his post about seeing his consultant, though only with half my attention as my wife had her big op on Tuesday. That all appears to have gone well, though after reading her history they decided to get her in and out of surgery ASAP so drafted in additional plastic surgery teams to halve the planned process. They did not want any allergic reactions or anaphylaxis on their patch thank you. It paid off since they avoided all plasters so there have been no allergy troubles and the antibiotic coverage has cleared up a persistent foot problem resulting from the chemo. Things outside have not been so easy, last night some clown managed a single car accident on the main route to and from the hospital closing the road for a number of hours. How and why escape me, it is variously a 30 or 40 mph clear well lit road.A far from enjoyable romp round the foggy country lanes in constant drizzle had the effect of greatly increasing the time spent on the homeward leg travel leg.
Today it was a frustrated attempted suicide from the hospital car park roof. The security, ambulance and sundry other staff were on the scene and grabbed the person before harm was done to them. Our ‘unstable on a good day daughter‘ saw all of this played out while I was getting a ticket, so a very jittery visit and afternoon has been the result.
I wonder about Bob’s news as the silence could be speaking volumes, I hope all is passably well with him but…
