Always wanted something like that, no need for it as I don’t have that many tools anymore. No room for one either.

I wish my misses was like yours Bob, I have multiple plastic tool boxes to rummage through to find the needed tool. I can keep dreaming. Its not like I haven’t been dropping any hints for the last god knows how many years

You would probably like my shed as I have two sets of spanners, several socket sets & various other tools mounted on a wall board. Everyone who enters for the first time goes Wow! Not seen a shed this tidy & well laid out before.

One of the benefits of Aldi & Lidl is the good quality, well priced, Chrome vanadium spanner sets that they offer from time to time. Not that I use them for the car much these days, more the bike or general DIY.

I had the job lot “although you can never have everything” where snap-on, Mac and Draper are concerned. I had the stack-able, rolling tool chests, cupboards and so on mainly from snap-on although one may of been Mac. Filled with all the airtools, small screwdrivers, big screwdrivers, stumpy spanners “My favourite” and another favourite were my ring ratchet  spanners. There were spanners in there that were more like weapons. The there was the sockets of all sorts of varying sizes and use, impact, standard, short and long, 1/2 and 3/4 and 1/4 plus all the extensions and knuckle joints. I wont even start on pliers, grips, moles and so on. Then there was specialist tools for doing particular jobs on particular cars. Some electrical gear for small electrical work. Oh, and I cant forget my collection of tapping sticks:) I doubt one socket was less than than £8 minimum.

Then I let my brother borrow them all, never to be seen again.! I dont need them tools now but I would like to build a collection up again. I’ll never go the route of paying the snapon or mac guy weekly again for the privilege though.
