Almost in the ‘April Fool’, or ‘You would not believe it’ category, but portable Apple equipment (watches, iphones etc) is extremely sensitive to Helium while Androids are immune. The Apple kit just goes belly-up in the presence of this gas. It is probably equally sensitive to any gases that are lighter than air e.g. water vapour, methane, hot air, hydrogen, neon, nitrogen, and ammonia.

Given a suitably long time away from such gases an Apple will slowly recover.

The reasons behind this are given in this quite interesting iFixit article.
