I have a Huawei P9 Lite mobile phone, I want to transfer my data to a Nokia 1.

Not got a clue, so I found this.

To backup my data it says I need to sync to Gmail, so I set it all up and synced to gmail.

Not got a clue what’s next, nor can I find my synced data on gmail.

Also I have audio tracks, photos, fancy ringtones saved to the phone, syncing doesn’t seem to collect these tracks, photos or ringtones or is that in the sync drive?

      Cheers
      John

John, not used that phone combination but usually you go to settings, on the old phone, find the google section and drill down through the menus until you come to Set Up New Phone. Make sure the new phone has bluetooth on and is visible, they also need to be on the same WiFi network.  With some luck you’ll see a message on the old/ new phone confirming the connection.

Make sure both phones are well charged. It could take a few hours or a few minutes for the setup to transfer,   depending on how much data there is.

          Thanks PM

Seems straight forward (ish) not sure but if the sim is in the old phone. How do I get the new phone on to setup wifi etc.

Turning on the new phone it says.

Connect to a mobile network, if you have a sim card insert it now. The sim card (to be used on the new phone) is in the old phone.

          Cheers

You don’t need a sim card to connect to your WiFi. You should be able to click past where you are.

Bluetooth & WiFi are now turned on in both mobiles.

                Using old mobile
In google I can’t find setup new phone, only set up nearby device.
I select that / Getting started / searching for devices / no devices found.

I have checked and checked, tried and tried

                Cheers
