      I am cleaning her laptop when you open IE the home page is set at

      http://www.default-search/?sid=492&aid=&type=n&ver=13001&tm=415&src=hmp

      Or something like that and it’s a search page like firefox you can select search  images videos shopping & news they take you to yahoo.

      I want to change the home page, once changed and I close IE when I open IE it’s back on the above page,

      I have tried everything within my knowlege base but I can’t seem to stop it coming back.

        What have you tried?

        The simple answer would be ‘use Firefox’ but if you insist on IE try <settings(cog)> <manage add ons> <search providers>

        Not IE for ages so I might be well out of date.

          Thanks Doc I use FF this is my girlfriends and her kids laptop, I have found they use FF it was when I was cleaning it (now gone) I wanted to set the Home page to MSN but it kept coming back.

          Thanks again as the laptop is no longer here, I can’t try your suggestion.
