If I turned it to that position, war does it do?

As far as I know, it activates the temperature controller to allow the oven to be set to some sort of prewarm, e.g. to dry things out after washing metal dishes or prove bread. The other two settings determine the cooking mode, grill or fan. It may also allow the oven light to be turned on in some types of oven.

The drying out, pre warming maybe a good shout, as I know the oven has a self steam clean function. Though you’d thin with the fan assisted oven, or non assisted setting would do a similar job.

Not sure of the make, it’s one of my FiL OAP friends oven. I’ll just send back that info. Tar folks.

Edit-after a bit of Googling I think it may be a thermometer vector setting, ie a probe you stick in meat, and tell the oven to alert you when your meat reaches the desired temp. Actually a great feature if correct. Didn’t know ovens got so fancy. Shows how much I spend on ovens lol.

I would assume that P is for Program,  except there is no clock symbol. If there was I’d assume you can use it to preset the on timer to (say) 10am, the temperature to 200 C, in fan mode, and an off time of 12:30pm to allow you to cook your chicken unattended, and give it a 30 minute rest while you have a well deserved beer!

It’s the thermometer one I was asked about Ed. I think the P is the whole knon, and it has 6 programs, she knew what 5 of them was, grill/grill fan assist/oven/oven fan assist/steam clean/ and then the one with the thermometer in.

I’m thinking it’s somthing to do with an internal probe, that you stick in meat, set your desired temperature you want the meat to reach and then it alerts you. (maybe) .

There is a timer function in the centre of the oven. I may if I get round to it, pop round and Ave a look and take a picture of the full oven and see if I can simply get the model number (would help alot lol) .
