Eveining all  I am looking at replacing Firefox with Chrome as my default browser. I love the look and feel of FF but it is getting so slow that even I can’t ut up with it – the same pages open so much faster in Chrome. It is a double shame as the mobile FF browser is still excellent.

Anyway here is the wierd problem: I normally have Talksport oen in a tab in my browser using this bookmark:

      http://radio.talksport.com/stream

When I open this in a FF tab (or Edge or IE for that matter) there is a volume slider bar to the right)

However in Chrome there is no volume slider bar

Tried to upload screenshots without success. If anyone has the time could you try that URL in chrome and FF or Edge or IE and see if you get a volume slider bar on the right hand side where you can drag the vol up/down?

No volume slider here on Chrome. Just mute/unmute.

Cheers PM – can you try another browser – for me all the others render the page different with a slider – no worries if not (Chromebook?)

Works fine in the Android version of FF.

              Edit.

I’ve binned the duplicate topic with the failed screenshots.

Slider is there in Firefox but not Chrome here.

I suspect it’s something flash related.

Maybe use VLC for the stream? Address is http://radio.talksport.com/stream

Thanks all – got lots of ways round it (there’s a volume addon for chrome, use a different browser etc). I’m more curious than anything…….Dave not got Flash enabled anywhere that I can see. FF (which shows the volume slider) won’t play a test flash video. I have turned off flash wherever I can.

In the end have found another site that puts a different wrapper round the same radio stream and displays the volume slider in all browsers (Chrome included)
