So it isn’t often I shout the praises of a software, but I’ve found Teracopy to be worthy of praise recently. Been using it for copying large amounts of data on to and off of an 8TB backup drive at work to different connected USB sticks and it’s been great, even verifying the copied files. Whilst I would normally use robocopy (or rsync on Linux), these wouldn’t have been as suitable for this task, unless I scripted the copies from the very beginning (rather than go through the hard drive and add files as I found them). Ensuring that they were copied as well as good, as well as checking that they moved as I expected them to do.
Think I’ll be purchasing a license as it’s proven it’s worth this week.
