Can anyone please recommend a free (if possible) editing software that will allow me to transfer jpeg images from my PC so that they can be viewed as a continuous stream on any DVD equipped TV?
I was able to do this some years ago but the software is now long gone from my system unfortunately.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave

July 13, 2018 at 4:51 pm #23084Microsoft’s Movie Maker was one that did this.
Blender does it too, but the learning curve is high.
You could also try this (unknown to me)
July 13, 2018 at 9:44 pm #23091Ed I had a look on your link not sure if it only for 1 jpeg
It all depends how deep into it you wish to go.
I create animation by adding photos (search create animation)
Then I save as (type) Video for Windows (AVI) Then I convert it to mpeg using NCHGoing further I sometimes convert it to DVD format with DVD Flick
It may not be as simple as ABC but once your into it it’s not so bad,
here’s a quicky I created
Cheers
JohnJuly 14, 2018 at 1:05 am #23093Windows Movie Maker is still available & works in Windows 8.1. It is part of the Windows Live Essentials & is available here.
This downloads the installer for a suite of Windows Live programmes from which you choose any (or all) that you want.--

Thanks for the Windows Movie Maker link but trying either the UK / USA language version I get:
C:\Users\David\AppData\Local\Temp\QqsIvkT4.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
I’ll keep trying – PS I’m on W7 Ultimate if that makes any difference.

July 14, 2018 at 1:37 pm #23106Best I can find is DVD Slideshow GUI (freeware)
as recommended by Gizmo (2017)
Just downloaded DVD Slideshow GUI, installed & created a slideshow DVD which worked on the DVD player built into the TV.

July 14, 2018 at 8:27 pm #23132I dl from Dave posted this link, 64bit Version it installed (Windows 10) that quick I thought it didn’t work.
Laters when I went in the start menu WMM was there, I opened it and got a nag (couldn’t find updates) that’s not surprising.
Using WMM I added the pictures (only a few) and created as DVD quality WMM seems just the job.

JohnJuly 15, 2018 at 10:35 pm #23166Thanks one and all for the inputs. Sometime ago I was able to download a German version of WMV which now seems to work as I want it to. Thank you all, Dave
