I had Driver Pack on DVD some years ago (off Dave Rice) I have tried to use it but now get errors, it asks if I want to use online.
Online scans my rig then I get errors, server can not be found, we’re working on it.
Also my F-Secure blocks the sight as dangerous
Anyone got the latest version I could borrow, or even is Driver Pack stilll going
I have these conflicts on Win 7

Cheers

July 4, 2018 at 7:51 am #22629Thanks Dave it’s a Lenovo E50-00 in the past I had drivers off Lenovo but can no longer find them.
I procceded on your link, but kept getting met with
Oops, something went wrong while trying to scan. Please try again, or see our FAQs for help.
I turned off my security and still the same. I looked on FAQs but nothing on there about the message.
Cheers
JohnJuly 4, 2018 at 10:43 am #22637The page you need, John, is Lenovo EOL support. Its here. Just select Desktops, Thinkcentre E Series and then E50.

Its free and it rocks.
Ive just rescued dell lenovo 200.
The driver and app D/L it found was just shy of 1GB.
July 4, 2018 at 4:22 pm #22639Thanks for that – new one on me – downloading now.
July 4, 2018 at 7:24 pm #22640Thanks VFM I will have a look.

JohnJuly 4, 2018 at 8:31 pm #22651I went on Lenovo, it led me too a long list of drivers/software, but nothing I need. It seems most are for XP Vista andso on not much for 32bit OS. I did find Lenovo Rescue Centre for Windows 7 I am gonna try that.
Snappy Driver has been a nightmare, I now have Opera – Facebook Icon – Web Companion) amongs others ( I never wanted)
When I tried to install SDI Lite it dl a file, I have nothing to open it with, I downloaded and installed Bit torrent and tried to download SDI Full, it kept saying Bit Torrent is open but not working.
I got there in the end, don’t know how long I will be at it, so far 3% of 15.5GB downloaded it’s going to fit on a DVD, but still, there you goo.
Cheers

JohnJuly 4, 2018 at 10:44 pm #22659I don’t know how you managed to get all that other stuff on to your machine. I have been using SDI for ages and have seen nothing like that.
Where did you download it from.
The download is a zip and you can run it off a USB stick as there is no installation…

I had it off the same link as yours I hit SDI Full / Download while’st sorting it downed the others. I think it want to use Opera not FF. It wasn’t a zip it dl a folder SDI_RUS.
I am now copying to USB and hope after all that I can sort out the conflicts

JohnJuly 5, 2018 at 8:56 am #22669Thinking about it, the other stuff may have come down with bit torrent install.

JohnJuly 5, 2018 at 11:10 am #22671All sorted (after using Snappy Driver) no more conflicts.

Cheers
JohnJuly 5, 2018 at 8:18 pm #22681Glad to hear you are sorted, John. But just a tip for the future. On that Lenovo page I gave you after you get to the E50 page the second drop down menu allows you to choose your OpSys – for example, Win7 32 bit or Win7 64bit, Win8, Win 10, etc. Are you sure you selected the correct OpSys because you should not have got any XP only drivers on the list that resulted.

July 5, 2018 at 9:41 pm #22683Thanks VFM
I had another look, it no longer offers E50 only E30.
I then clicked (at the top) Support and entered the serial number. It came up with Solution Centre (I have) and realtek lan (I have the rest was 64bit only, I am using a 32bit 7 (the original I think was 64bit)
To be sure I need a Windows 7 64bit.

JohnJuly 5, 2018 at 9:56 pm #22685Thanks VFM
I had another look and it’s no longer offering E50, I put the serial number in (on support link at to p of your page)
It only offered Solution Centre & Lan (I have those) then I realised, they offer 64bit for mine, originally it was 64bit, I am using a 32bit Win 7. the 64bit is now tied to Windows 10.
Cheers
JohnJuly 5, 2018 at 10:51 pm #22688It is still there, John. Remember its a Thinkcentre E Series not a Lenovo E Series, That’s why I put it in bold when I first gave you the link. If you choose Lenovo E Series you only get E30. BTW once you get to the E50 page if you go to the top you can get the Hardware Manual for your desktop if you don’t already have one its worth having.

July 6, 2018 at 9:00 am #22702Thanks VFM
I (just) entered my details, once entered if you scroll down is the list I mentioned for XP Vista etc
I am not sure what it is ThinkCentre Think Station all it has on it is Lenovo even after putting in the serial on Lenovo web it only says Lenovo.
All the conflicts are gone (snappy driver) for now.
Cheers
JohnJuly 6, 2018 at 10:28 am #22707The Lenova laptop was the IBM Thinkpad originally, and they ran the Thinkpad name in parallel for a couple of years iirc..
July 6, 2018 at 10:38 am #22708You saying that Ed, sometime ago I heard Lenovo was IBM in disguise.
Maybe you said it? in another life (MM)
Cheers
