Its been one of the questions I have been dreading asking but this place needs mods. I will not be able to do it full time and to be honest I do not think I am the write person to do it. So if you want to mod please put your name below. I have a few in mind and hopefully they will appear in the list below. How I finaly pick them is any ones guess but if very few put there name below then it will not be difficult. NOTE: There will be some caveats! Such as ensuring all forum activity is sent to one of your working email addresses. :yahoo:

And there is the other one ?

I still have the roles of users to configure so it will be the weekend before I put the mods in place, because there is other features of the site that depends on a user role level and rights, its a pain in the rear but I’ll keep chipping away at it.

The only interesting thing you’ll see in the Mods Forum is from years ago.

Me, the Old Phart, BJM and Jason arguing with Cap’n Cad about being anal over the rules.

It was even worse when his sidekick Akkers was still active.

Here’s a classic: David Johnson (writer) Topic: Language filter. Could ‘bugger’ be added to the language filter please? There have been a few threads started over the last few days with that in the title and I don’t think we want language like that on a family forum…

The fun we had getting around the filter.

Just noticed that was 2004!

I’d love to, but I’m not a 24/7 guy. Work full time, and go to the pub the rest. 🙁

I’d be happy to mod the Linux forum in isolation, if that helps?

Arch Linux, on a Ryzen 7 1800X, 32 GB, 5 (yes -5) HDs inc 5 SSDs, 4 RPi 3Bs + 1 RPi 4B - one as an NFS server with two more drives, PiHole (shut yours), Plex server, cloud server, and other random Pi stuff. Nice CoolerMaster case, 2 x NV GTX 1070 8GB, and a whopping 32" AOC 1440P monitor.

I dont think there is a day that goes by without me using the word bugger atleast 5 or 6 times, its part of the Yorkshire language, im sure of it :yahoo:

I use ‘bugga’ on MM and other places, it outwits most filters. Didn’t know I was sharing Yorkshire language, but that is the word I use in normal conversation too, Lee. 🙂 Usually when something goes wrong, probably at least 3 times a day. :unsure:

The filter was totally stupid. Simon (Brew) used to think it was hilarious.

Arsenal supporters had a hard time and if they came from Scunthorpe, forget it.
