I am off to Castle Hill hospital (later today, it’s after midnight) for the Operation on Wednesday morning. I will not be here again until I am fit enough and out of ICU.

No one has heard anything and comments have been made in other threads. Yes it has been over a week and the best hope so far is that his electronic helper has failed to live up to expectations . Hopefully it has let him down as many of us are hoping, with increasing concern that will prove to have been the case.
If you Google it you will see that the Whipple operation (assuming that is what they gave Bob) takes at least nine hours so it could be Friday before they felt they could start, add on a day for the op and three to four days ICU and then radiotherapy. Most patients feel exceptionally nauseous for a protracted period, so even assuming all went extremely well it could be considerably longer than a week before Bob would want to regale us with his exploits. Lets hope that is the case.
Just to let people know I received a message from Bob saying he will be back soon, he is weak and it’s been a bugga “Yorkshire Phrase” 😉 and he will have more to share when he his upto it I am guessing and as asked me to thank all for the best wishes. Another Yorkshire saying, BOB ON 🙂
