@jayceedee I can not reproduce the problems in chrome on windows and linux but I will keep trying.

Cheers Lee – just cleared the cache and cookies with CCleaner, but still the same. Went in first time using Chrome on Android.

No issues here on Chrome OS (essentially Linux) or Android versions of Chrome.

Nice Job BTW Lee, had a bit of a shock when I first saw it but now I like it a lot. ???

@planeman Yes I was not to sure as I was building it but now it’s all good. The main aim was to clean it up with a flat simple layout and all pages and functions working including the classies and the contact page and I also wanted the the community area cleaner and easier to use and in particular for private messages and I believe I have nearly achieved that with a couple of hours cleaning up left to do.

But the biggest news, thanking the Lord, the front page is complete ?

Still loading to a blank page – I also cleared cache and cookies through the chrome settings – that took effect as it logged me out of gmail. Still blank.

Edit – even logging in through Lastpass it brings up the username/password page, then moves on to the blank page.

Have you got any ad blockers or privacy tools running?

EDIT: Updating from Chrome on Android after posting from desktop Chrome and both are working fine here.

P.S. This look works much better on mobile than the old look, even though that was good ?

I think there is still a few tweaks to be done on the mobile side but yea it’s improved on the mobile side of things.

That was sent from my Lenovo Tablet, which was almost out of charge, so just a short one. Basically, I will be able to access Forumite in hospital if their WiFi is up to scratch. I have been told that won’t be for at least 48 hours after the Op on April4th next Wednesday, as I will be zonked out in ICU for at least that time and will be another couple of days before I am in full Bullstuff mode.

That is a relief, I was wondering how I could continue pestering Forumites if I could not contact you at all.??

(Afterthought) – I will also be able to keep tabs on SWMBO and the family. Anticipating an outbreak of Demanding Sick Old Git mode.??

I’m not sure if we will keep you sane but I do know that hospitals can get awfully boring and lonely. We are all keen for you to resume normal service and be available to straighten us lot out once more. There are still several weeks to go first so we will want to hear you go in a full strength mode.

Sorry that was rather off topic, but it was well meant. Going back on topic the new site is causing me no issues.

It worked, but the problem was my sight and Forumite as it was before you remodelled it. The layout now is great for my tablet, since using it quite a bit today, it is more – instinctive – than it was, plus there seems to be acres of space. On my new HP 23.8″ monitor, it’s fantastic, and on the tablet it is easier to use.

Well done Lee, you made a great job of remodelling the layout, I love it. Hope all the other visually-challenged Oldpharts are OK with it.???

I have done some tweaking in the background to improve speed a little. Please let me know if there is any unexpected behavior.
