Sad times at your gaff, i suppose anything is good, as long as it distracts from the clubs issues.

Its very sad what’s happening down there. ?

I see your linked with a free move for Balotelli. If i was you i would leave him where he is. We gambled i thin £11m on him, which at the time i thought wasn’t a bad price, for what he could be.

Lsadly he was awful for us, and we just couldn’t give him away. Iirc his wage bill was huge too. He has had two decent seasons in France, so he may make a good free transfer.

Shame as he had all the potential, but i think the guy is a tad slow tbh.

A win, but could have been more emphatic, should have had at least 2 more goals. Absolutely dominated the Nederlanders at times, the usual England failure to turn chances into goals. I thought The Ox played his best game in an England shirt, gave hardly anything away, whereas Dele Alli gave away possession and decided to indulge in his sly little shin-hacks and heel taps. I have no time for Alli: bags of ability but not as good as he thinks he is, and throws out his teddy when it goes against him. Kane makes him look good at Spurs, and IMO Son is a much better player. Stones played well, but the real player in the defence is Maguire, who gets better with every game. I think Cahill has lost his place. Pickford looks like the best No.1 for me: why Joe Hart is even still in the running, is beyond me.

BL, will you give us back Antonio if you get Balotelli? ??

But Steve has a point: these games have broken up a 7-game undefeated run for Forest. Hope we carry it on.

Cannot believe that the BBC Sport site and “experts” made Kyle Walker Man of Match. Yes, he was good and playing in a slightly unfamiliar position, but Maguire was standout. Maybe because what he did was unspectacular, he just ran the defensive effort. During Dutch attacks, he could be seen continually marshalling the defence and going in with tackles or interceptions. Sometimes I think the media reporters just watch the highlights later.

Another clean sheet. I feel a bit more hopeful about Russia. I also think Southgate is building something that can be called a team.

I actually believe they may be worth a few quid on at the bookies this time round. I would not put a lot on but at the moment there a good enough price to take a punt.

Bob difficult to find any room for a joke at West Ham at the moment – but Antonio and most of the others will be on the market when we (probably) get relegated. On the pitch Antonio needs a kick up the arse as much as most of them – but the problems are off the pitch. It is blazingly obvious that the Olympic Stadium never was and never will be a football ground without knocking it down and starting again (which aint going to happen)

Only grief on the horizon for the foreseeable, there’s a big protest planned on Saturday before the Southampton game, but I honestly think the club as we (and everyone else) knew it is gone.

Regards England, never saw the game but cringed at those pissed up idiots playing up again – probably the same 1000s of blokes who legged it from 200 Russians in France – absolute embarassment in every respect.

BL I did not mean that as a joke, and as over the years I have met many WHU fans, I should have not phrased it as such. I remember how the fans I was among at the 66 Final, took me to their homes and gave me such a great time. (and the mother of all hangovers!) Those lads (and lasses) were justly proud of the Hammers players in that England team. As a Forest fan I know how it feels to see your club go down the pan (more than once).

Before the last 2 owners of NFFC, there was a Nottingham businessman and lifelong Forest fan, Nigel Doughty, who poured £100 million of his own money into the club and saved it from administration. He also created the Academy that still produces so many good young players. His company suffered and was in danger, which resulted in him taking his own life on February 4th, 2012. Since then we’ve had a Kuwaiti billionaire who had no idea how to run a football club and would not buy the players we needed. Instead, he sold those who were playing well and scoring goals, like Antonio, who incidentally defo needed a kick here as well! We went down to League One, back into the Championship and then Fawaz sold out to a billionaire Greek* who turns out to be as bent as a nine – bob note and is facing drug running charges. As he also is a shipowner, he must have found transporting the stuff easy.

*May not be a billionaire, or even a millionaire. Time will tell, if he gets the right deal for his Recreational substances.

What is happening to clubs like WHU and NFFC, is happening all over British football and is a disgrace. Fans who shell out good money deserve better.

Bob don’t worry mate never took it as a dig – Forrest is a great club and still remember listening to Trevor Francis’ s header against Malmo (1980?) on the radio. Had some great trips to the city ground, and was part of the 500-a-side on the pitch at Upton Park when we got relegated in the early 90s (winning 3-0 at home to you lot but too late in the day).

The thing that makes our situation unique is that our owners have not just let the team wither on the vine they have destroyed the absolute fabric of the club, sold our home for a pittance, given us a rented, circular athletics stadium, and done it behind  a mountain of bare faced lies. They have also decalred open war on any fans who dare protest.

Sorry if my post back to yours sounded narky – never meant to.

The home selling is an annoyance to me. Given they are meant to be business men, why not redeloped the area themselves and sell the properties for about 10x the value

Invest the lot back into the club (its their profits anyway), use that capital to push in to a constant 6 plus finish, (ie euro) that would boost turnover which would keep them I’m the top 6.

I do feel sorry for the fans, home sold, team underperforming , manager is a joke, and the bandits that are your owners. Not to mention the athletics stadium you seem shackled to. No wonder the fans are ready to riot.

I can see a Wimbledon style break away on the next two years if nothing changes. Let them band it London FC, and you lot go with FC WH, and start over.

If you kept 50 percent of the fans, and get 10% of them to fund it, you could get yourself up the leagues in a decade.

Duke sound words – a lot of people thinking that way – and I think that is on the cards mate. What is certain is that what we have been left with is not viable. Something will give – but the damage has been done. Its our little tragedy – but for us it is just that.

Actually, if I was watching football live at a ground now, it would be at Sincil Bank (Lincoln City) Saved from going under by fans, came up from National League, and now in top 8 of League One. Remember last season’s FA Cup run? No fluke, they have a good team and are solvent: more than about 75% of the Football League, I bet. Just 25 miles down a straight road from me.
