      Duke pointed me towards the game Kingdom Come Deliverance as I had expressed an interest in ‘Open World’ RPG games. The 4K graphics play-through looked amazing, and the story line (medieval Germany) looked both historically interesting and novel. I was very tempted until I read that the game had an unnecessary and cumbersome game save limitation. To me this was a deal breaker as I like to dip in and out of games, dividing my time at will with other more productive activities.

      However Nexusmods have produced an ‘unlimited saves’ mod, so now I am sorely tempted to squander away a few pennies to while away these cold dark winter afternoons! (I have now spent my pennies via GOG and the game graphics are amazing – about as far as I have got as it is a 34GB download!)

      Downside for some is that it is understandably a game that is very demanding on hardware. A Windows 10 box is essential (probably not even possible on Windows 7, though maybe Dx11 with patch MIGHT work), 8GB ram minimum, (16 recommended), Minimum cpu reqs are an i5-3570 or AMD FX-8320 with nVidia GTX 970 or AMD R9 390 GPU. If you want 4k and 60fps then CPU and GPU specs are correspondingly greater.

        It’s a very pretty game, and the history is apparently accurate. My only issue is how much dialogue there is. After a while it’s a bit much. But it does keep the game moving.

        The save issue, was a feature of the game, you are meant to collect (or brew maybe) save potions. This makes it cumbersome in the beginning, but i imaging, once your deep into the game, you can afford to buy as many as you like.

        Not practically good for starters.

            There is some quite graphic sex and death scenes already. So if that’s not to your taste, this game won’t be for you.

            Will have to check the nude mod out lol

              I’m interested but as a sign of how behind the times I am, I’ve just started playing Just Cause 2 – open world game and I can cause chaos, in fact, it’s part of the game progression! Reminds me of the old Mercenaries game on the PSX and Xbox that I enjoyed.

              I’ve also got Destiny 2 to wade through as well, the whole reason I upgraded my PC! And I recently picked up the remastered copy of Starcraft which was great fun.

              And to mention picking up Into The Breach and then working my way through Grim Dawn.

              Maybe I should spend less time browsing on here and playing games instead!?
