End of May (2017) I was after some good printer inks, I recall  ricedg and ? suggested prink.

I did purchase from prink in April, just got round to using them.

      Best compatibles yet (cheers).

I have (today) purchased some for next year and they have gone down (£3) in price.

      Cheers
      John

        Tried these John? –     https://www.cartridgeking.eu/

I only buy genuine HP, always have, but I know these have cheap compat’s. They used to send a bag with free P&P for used cart’s, gave a small discount for that.

I shop around, have a small O Office Table with different suppliers. Last was E Buyer, I also use Amazon, Cartridge King as above and Viking. Whoever is doing a deal atm, for as many cart’s as I need or might need soon.

          Thanks Bob

I went on put in my printer, couldn’t see any conpatibles. All I could find is the ones on Epson.

The ones from Prink are good and price not so bad.

I have a lot of trouble with compatible inks, when printing photos. I have printed a photo with the prink inks and it printed great.

          Cheers
          John

After buying a laser printer, I’m not going back to inkjets. I print sporadically, can lot, but weeks or months in between. this Samsung laser (iirc cheap ) has never, not once, Failed to print. Also, cartridges last for about 7500 pages iirc and cost £20.

I only got a mono, as if I want pictures it’s either the yearly picture book and every photo book site is always doing deals. The other time is for jr school presentations. So no work having a photo spec printer, for 99.9% just documents. Which end up being scrap paper for the kids to draw on.

My 9 yo HP Photosmart is still kicking and I will really miss it if it dies. It has been the best printer I have ever had: not cheap to run, but an all-rounder which makes an excellent job of whatever I ask of it. HP have stopped making 5-cart printers and it looks like a Canon will be its replacement if it departs this life before I do. I hate those inkjet printers which have a ‘Tri-cartridge’ – 3 inks in one cart. When one colour is gone, the whole cart is dead, regardless of whatever is left in the other 2.

The HP lets me print my own photos and other colour pages to a very good standard: I have photos that I printed from it when I first had it and they are unfaded. That is something I like to do: I know I can have them printed on the High Street for less, but I enjoy the process of editing and printing. I can dial down the Properties and print in Greyscale for documents. When I ripped music CD’s and DVD’s, I could print labels or ink graphics directly onto the disk, it has a tray for that. To give HP their due, I have been able to continuously  update the printer software, at least once every year: the software is unrecognisable from its first issue, on the CD that came with the printer. I honestly think that HP has never made a better, more reliable printer and that may be its problem. For almost 9 years I have not bought another. In this throw away, consumerist world, that is a black mark against any product.
