Microsoft are closing the free Windows 10 upgrade offer for people using the accessibility features:

I did not know that was still going. Was there not a workaround to allow any one to use the offer that was not totally illegal but a little dubious.

Yeah, this was it. As long as you were using some kind of accessibility feature you could still get the free upgrade.

Must admit, I’d used it to update the machines at the cadet unit to 10.

              Recently I paid £3.69 for W10 Pro and £2.99 for Office 2016 Pro + on E-Bay

Prices vary from that low up to a tenner each and I’ve bought over a dozen this year. No problems at all but you must do a clean install.

That’s a shame, but as Dave says, it can be had for pennies. I got one of the cheap office suites for a couple of pound when Dave last posted about it.

I didn’t really need it, I just wanted to see it it actually worked. Given office pro would once cost about £600, or whatever it was back in the day.

The only office I think I ever  bought was office 2003, and that was via uni. So was only £30 iirc. I also got I think 2005 (if that was one), but that was given to us by the local high school, evey pupil got a full licence, for a year or two. I thin MS was making one of thier pushes to keep office the processing suite of choice for the next set of kids.

I had all the product keys written down, office and windows, but my eldest lad lost the paper. my 10s of win 7 product keys and two office suite keys lost forever. ?

Not sure which mod made it sticky. Just leave it for another day or so. ☺️
