      After the bad stuff passed us by, last night we had strong winds but no rain. Today has been cold, but glorious sunshine with blue skies. Been to Mablethorpe for a 1½ mile stroll, until our Gert’s hip gave out and we had the first of many sit downs, one accompanied by ice creams, before reaching the car and home. I think we have been lucky around here, most of the really bad weather has passed us by. Mablethorpe had some hardy holidaymakers, due to Leicestershire schools breaking up for half-term before our schools. Photos:

      Above is looking north towards Grimsby and the Humber windfarm. Below is south towards Skeggy. The Wash windfarm was very faintly visible.

      Later the sky darkened and it became really cold:

      The windfarm is a small onshore one about 3 miles inland, the first in our area and getting on for 18 years old now. The blades were really knocking out some power in that wind!
