Not saying that TT are responsible for the scam attempt: this morning an email dropped into my mailbox, supposedly from TT TV, advising me that I had £1 unused TV credits. As I have never used any form of TT services, I knew it must be a nasty. Using “View Message Source” I got an address that was “Talk-Talk plc”. Checking that, I found that there is no part of TT which has that address and no part of TT is listed with a hyphen between the 2 words ‘Talk’ and ‘Talk’.
I know there are some forumites who use TT TV, so please be aware of this email guys.
Maybe if they offered more than £1, they would get more takers. Perhaps the Nigerian Bankers are running out of money at last!
