I had a paper jam in the above mentioned printer. I reckon I managed to extract most of it in pieces but, every time I try to print something with it, the paper becomes skewed and I get a nasty loud noise. Can anyone please suggest a cure for this, or will I need to fork out for a new A3 printer?

      Cheers,

      John

        Hi John,

In the past when I have suffered this problem, AND if it is accessible in any way I either gave the paper uptake roller a good clean with water or if really accessible a small wire brush on the rubber to roughen it up a very SMALL amount. Generally it’s gunk on the roller that causes the problem, and this might also be the cause of it being taken in at an angle.

Many thanks for those tips Dwynnehugh and nice to meet up with you once again on this new forum. I’ll try out your suggestions when I get back from my holiday.

          Cheers.

            Hi John,

Are you still in the Isle of Wight or have I mixed you with someone else?  Hardest job is getting at the rollers in the first place.

            Have a nice holiday,  Dave.

PS Just had a thought, your A3 printer is not the cheapest one on the block, have you ever thought about sending it back to Canon for a service / clean – probably cheaper than buying a new one.
