      I just noticed that the calculator in Windows is slightly translucent and after googling why it appears to be something to do with project Neon.  I’m not quite sure what that is either but it looks like they are changing the way Windows works (internally) to homogenise programs (apps on mobile devices), a bit like Metro but not as severe.

      Does anyone know anything about it?

        No change to translucent on my Win7 desktop. Maybe it’s only 10?

          I had a quick (very quick) Google last night after you posted, and the few hits that came back, are relatively old. I think it’s more of a side project on the road map.

            I’m not sure what Neon is, but the latest Windows 10 insider preview introduces new brighter colours for the command shell. (you need a fresh install to see them). Link
